I finally got into those boxes and started inking up my new stamps. You'll see this card on page 35 of the Holiday Mini Catalog. I loved it the moment I saw it and wanted to do it for my stamp camp. It took me awhile to figure out how to get the same look without breaking out my sewing machine and to make the argyle pattern on the stockings coordinate, but I'm pleased with the result! I hope you are too! And it was fun teaching my campers how to make a template to use the builder punches. It saves SO much time!
Merry Christmas 3 Stocking Card
Stamp Sets: Stitched Stockings (W123782, C123784), Hand Penned (W124310, C124312)
Ink: Cherry Cobbler (119669) & marker (119681), Lucky Limeade (122935), Early Espresso (119670) & marker (119680)
Paper: Lucky Limeade (122926), Whisper White (100730)
Tools: Stocking Builder Punch (124095)
Accessories: Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine (123125), Mini Jingle Bells (124116), Mini Glue Dots (103683), Stampin' Dimensionals (104430), 2-Way Glue Pen (100425)
Measurements:
Layer 1: Lucky Limeade - 5-1/2'' x 8-1/2'' (score at 4-1/4'')
Layer 2: Whisper White - 5-1/4'' x 4'' (Cut 2 - one for inside and one for outside of card)
Whisper White: Six 3'' x 3'' pieces to stamp and punch out stockings
Instructions:
- Using the 3'' x 3'' pieces of Whisper White, stamp 3 green and 3 red stockings with cuffs, heels, & toes.
- Punch out all 6 stockings and assemble with 2-way glue pen (cut argyle pattern from extra stockings and glue to stockings you'll use on the card so the pattern matches the cuff).
- Make template from scrap card stock 3-1/2'' x 4-3/4''. Center the template on Whisper White card front and draw around it with a Cherry Cobbler marker (use the pen end, not the brush end).
- Stamp sentiment at bottom of card front with Early Espresso ink.
- Add stockings to card with dimensionals.
- Draw hook for stockings with Early Espresso marker (optional)
- Tie small bows with Cherry Cobbler bakers twine and attach to stockings with glue dots
- Attach a jingle bell to the center of each bow with glue dots
